An Ohio man being transported from a courthouse to prison made a dramatic attempt to escape after breaking free from his restraints and assaulting deputies.

What we know:
According to local reports, Timothy Reaggle, 20, was being transported after being sentenced when he managed to free himself from his restraints. Authorities say Reaggle punched a deputy before making a run for the exit.
The escape attempt was captured by multiple cameras inside the Columbiana County Courthouse. One video shows Reaggle allegedly striking a deputy and running from the area, knocking over another deputy as he fled.
Another camera captured Reaggle racing down a flight of stairs with a deputy close behind. Additional footage shows him reaching the building’s entrance and attempting to get outside before deputies caught up with him and took him back into custody.

Columbiana County Sheriff Brian McLaughlin told WFMJ that the two deputies suffered broken bones during the incident, according to Fox News Digital.

The Fox News Digital report says at the time of the escape, Reaggle had just been sentenced to a year in prison from a previous charge, according to WKBN.
What’s next:
Reaggle remains in custody at the Columbiana County Jail. McLaughlin said he is expected to face additional charges stemming from the escape attempt, including assault on a police officer and felony escape.
