Dressers sold on Amazon recalled
Big picture view:
The recall, announced Oct. 8, 2026, included about 12,078 Romorgniz six-drawer dressers after the products were found to be unstable if they were not anchored to a wall.Â
According to the CPSC, the dressers violated mandatory furniture safety standards established under the STURDY Act. Congress.gov says the act (Stop Tip-overs of Unstable, Risky Dressers on Youth Act) is a federal law that sets mandatory stability and safety standards for free-standing clothing storage units to prevent furniture tip-overs that can injure or kill children.Â

The recalled wooden dressers were sold in white and black. They measure approximately 27.6 inches wide, 15.6 inches long and 43.2 inches tall, and weigh about 73.3 pounds.
The dressers were sold on Amazon.com from May 2025 through August 2026 for between $100 and $170.
The CPSC reported no incidents or injuries associated with the recalled products at the time of the announcement.

Dressers must be anchored to wall
What you can do:
Consumers who own the recalled dressers should stop using them immediately if they are not anchored to the wall, move them to an area inaccessible to children and contact Romorgniz for a full refund.
To receive a refund, consumers will be asked to write “RECALLED” in permanent marker on the top, front and sides of the dresser. They must then remove all drawers and email photographs showing the marked dresser and the disassembled product to [email protected].
After completing the required steps, consumers should dispose of the dresser.
Other dressers recalled
Dig deeper:
Thousands of other dressers sold on several popular retail websites were also recalled last month because they didn’t meet the mandatory safety standards.
