NEW YORK – Shots were fired in Times Square on Thursday, and one person has been arrested, according to reports.

What we know:
The shooting happened shortly before 4 p.m. Thursday, near 42nd Street and Broadway. Video from the scene showed crowds scattering as shots rang out.
Officers quickly chased down one suspect, according to The Associated Press. Fire officials told the AP that one person was taken to the hospital.
