A man named Loony Toon is headed to prison for a long time after being convicted of firing shots at multiple police officers as he fled from a traffic stop last year.<\/p>

The backstory:<\/p>

Toon was accused of firing a gun at three Milwaukie, Oregon, police officers on June 20, 2025, after he was pulled over. Bullets fired by Toon struck at least one officer\u2019s vehicle as well as another person\u2019s car.<\/p>

After fleeing the traffic stop, Toon ditched his vehicle and escaped onto a nearby golf course, the DA office explained, adding that he was arrested three days later in Sandy, Oregon, about 20 miles away.<\/p>

Toon, whose full name is Loony John Franklin Kolb Toon, was on probation for attempted first-degree kidnapping at the time of the stop, according to the DA office\u2019s statement. He is reported to have 25 criminal convictions, 16 of which are felonies.\u00a0<\/p>

What’s next:<\/p>

As part of his plea agreement with Clackamas County, Toon will also plead guilty to charges he is facing in four other counties. Any prison time in those jurisdictions would run concurrently with his sentence in Clackamas County, the DA\u2019s Office noted. He will also pay restitution for the damage to a police car and another individual\u2019s vehicle.<\/p>
