Longtime conservative commentator and former FOX News host Tucker Carlson said that he is no longer supporting the Republican Party, dismissing the political affiliation he\u2019s defended for decades.\u00a0<\/p>

“I would not support the Republican party; there\u2019s no chance I would support the Republican party,” Carlson said on the\u00a0“Can’t Be Censored<\/u>” podcast. “Not going to support the Democratic party. I don’t know what I’m going to do.”<\/p>

He continued: “How could I or any American voter support a political party that\u2019s not loyal to the United States, that puts the interest of a foreign country above those of its own citizens?”<\/p>

“I voted Republican my entire life,” he added, noting that he\u2019s been a consistent defender of the GOP. “But there\u2019s no defending this, because it\u2019s immoral and it\u2019s exactly the opposite of what a political party and a democracy is charged with doing, which is representing its own voters, its own citizens, its own nation, and they\u2019re not doing that. So, no, I\u2019m out.<\/p>

He added, “And if I\u2019m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.”<\/p>

Comments come ahead of November midterms<\/h2>

Carlson, who has amassed a large following on his own podcast since being fired from Fox News in 2023, has more recently diverged from the party.<\/p>

After the war began, he apologized for supporting the then-presidential candidate Donald Trump and “misleading people,” saying it wasn’t intentional.<\/p>

He’s repeatedly criticized the war as being at the behest of Israel at the expense of Americans, and attacked the party for failing to represent its own voters, citizens and nation.<\/p>

“They are making decisions on the basis of other criteria, what\u2019s best for this company, what\u2019s best for Israel, what\u2019s best for our donors,” he said. “That\u2019s not just, like, they are off in the wrong direction, like, that is unacceptable, that\u2019s treasonous, it\u2019s immoral, it can\u2019t continue.”<\/p>
