VOLUSIA COUNTY, Fla. – A Lakeland man accused of stalking a teenage girl in Volusia County and sending her letters and gifts has turned himself in to authorities, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

Joseph Woodard, 27, of Lakeland, is in custody and facing an aggravated stalking charge, according to authorities.

The backstory:
Woodard was arrested earlier this month for stalking a 16-year-old girl he met on Snapchat, according to deputies.

Woodard showed up to the girl’s DeLand home twice uninvited and fired multiple gunshots outside the home before leaving the area.
Deputies later located Woodard and took him into custody. He was charged with stalking, armed trespassing, discharging a firearm on residential property and resisting.
Woodard bonded out of jail on Aug. 19, after nearly three weeks in custody.Â
Affidavit: Suspect arrested again for allegedly sending letters, gifts to teen while in jail
While in jail, Woodard sent letters and gifts to the teen, according to deputies. The letters included graphic content directed at the teen and “incoherent and delusional ramblings,” authorities said.

Deputies said Woodard used his cellmate’s name to get around a no-contact order.
