BRADENTON, Fla. – A man accused of stabbing a 15-year-old boy multiple times outside a home near Bradenton was arrested and faces a charge of attempted murder, according to the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.

Quazone Taylor, 34, was taken into custody Sunday and booked into the Manatee County Jail, according to an update from the sheriff’s office.

The arrest comes nearly a week after the stabbing, which happened in the West Samoset neighborhood in the 600 block of 33rd Avenue Drive East.

Deputies responded on Aug. 18 shortly before 3 p.m. to a report of a stabbing at the home, investigators said.
According to the MCSO, Taylor was visiting the home when he attacked a 15-year-old boy who lived there. The two were sitting outside when the attack happened.
The teenager was stabbed multiple times in his upper neck and body, according to investigators.

Paramedics took the boy to a hospital with serious injuries. Officials said at the time that his injuries were serious but not expected to be life-threatening.
Suspect ran after stabbing

Taylor ran from the neighborhood after the stabbing, prompting a search by deputies, according to the sheriff’s office.
Additional law enforcement resources, including SWAT and drone teams, responded to the area as investigators searched the home and surrounding neighborhood.
Investigators initially believed Taylor could be hiding in the attic of the home, but he was not found there.
Taylor remained at large until his arrest Sunday. He was booked into the Manatee County jail.
