Multiple law enforcement agencies are working a mass shooting in the Prospect Hills area of North Carolina.
What we know:
The shooting happened just before 8 a.m. Wednesday morning on Brooks Road in Prospect Hills, according to the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office.
North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation says deputies arrived on scene and found multiple people shot dead. One additional person was found with a gunshot wound and transported to Duke University Hospital.Â

The North Carolina State Highway Patrol also responded to assist local deputies, and the Caswell County Sheriff’s Office has requested assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.
Crime scene investigators are continuing to process the scene. No suspect information has been released at this time, but authorities say there is no current threat to the general public.Â
