Martin County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations detectives identified Dezmone Johnson, 25, as the suspect in a high-value theft. Video footage showed Johnson posing as a legitimate customer at a Treasure Coast Mall kiosk while looking at several gold chains before grabbing the jewelry and running.

Detectives worked alongside the Broward County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force to locate Johnson in Broward County.Â
He was taken into custody, charged with robbery by sudden snatching, and added the offense to his extensive criminal history.
